it's dust storms that hit places like Oklahoma and texas. It destroyed houses, farms, cattle, and crops. Farmers lost all their land and farms and most families tried to avoid it by migrating to California to start a new life

its called the dust bowl because there seemed no way out. This caused many farmers to move west
