Here there's a trick: -Give some values to "X" For example: When X=1 then Y=? That way, you can graphic all kinds of functions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=1/x When x=1 then y=1 When x=2 then y=1/2 When x=3 then y=1/3 ... Got it? :D

well since the measurement of xwy=3(x+1) you just distribute giving you 3x+1. Then ywz is 3x+1 and the whole diagram is 124. All that is needed to do it is add the 3x+1+3x+3 and equal it all to 124.

You should be able to do the rest from there. adn once you get x, since they're asking for the measurement in xwy then you just plug in the number that you get from the equation above

The measurement of angle wxz is 124. Keep in mind that the whole diagram is 123. Then they want the measurement of xwy. In that case it is 3(x+1). But you cant forget about the other half that is ywz. And the measurement of the angle ywz is 3x+1. So then you know that xwy and ywz make wxz. First what you need to do is make sure there are no parenthesis. Then after that you need to equal both xwy and ywz to wxz. Here it is 3x+3+3x+1=124 6x+4=124 6x=120 x=20 Then after you get x, you need to plug it into the equation 3(x+1). Why? because they are looking for the measurement of xwy. So it would look like this. 3(20+1) Then you distribute and then you get 60+3 and that's where I got 63
