Which word in the sentence is the object of the preposition? "Please arrive at noon," our grandmother told us.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"at" I think. Because preposition follows a verb. "Arrive" is the verb, so "at" is most likely the proposition. "our grandmother told us" doesn't have one because you need every word to make it sound normal. You can still say "Please arrive" and still make sense. You get me?
