Help with polynomials? Below I have attached a table that corresponds to this question: Which polynomial represents the dividend for the division problem shown? My options are: 3x^3 - 4x^2 + 2x - 1 -3x^2 + 7x - 9 3x^3 - 7x^2 + 9x - 10 3x^2 - 7x +9 Help would be appreciated.
when u do the division : x/a x is called dividend a is called divisor
u familiar wid synthetic division ?
Not really, I'm just really confused on this problem. On my homework, this is the only problem like this..
look at top row
forget the first number
in synthetic division, top row gives u divisor and dividend
gimme a sec, il attach a pic may be
That'd be great! Thank you for helping too btw
red field is divisor green fields are dividend
3 -4 2 -1 3x^3 - 4x^2 + 2x - 1
Oh that makes more sense now.
good :) the given table is just a simple synthetic division setup. synthetic division is easy and very useful, u should master it someday :)
