how about this one @ganeshie8
OpenStudy (anonymous):
lol
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
Area of regular polygon : (perimeter)*apothem / 2
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
start by finding the perimeter of hexagon

i dont even know how to start it
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
perimeter is simply the lentgh around a shape
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
since each side is 22, and we have 6 sides,
perimeter = 22*6 = 132
OpenStudy (anonymous):
then 22*18?
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
Area of polygonn= (perimeter)*apothem / 2
= (132) * 19.05 / 2
= ?

i get 1257.3 @ganeshie8
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
yes ! thats the area of entire polygon,
but we want oly the shaded region right?
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
calculate the area of rectangle, and
subtract it
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
area of rectangle = 18*22 = ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
396?
