What is the phenotype of an individual heterozygous for both traits?

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

can u elaborate ur ques?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The genotype of a heterozygous animal is Big letter-small letter. What do you mean by "both traits"? If you mean there are two traits, then it would be, for example, BbSs. Imagine there is a buffalo. The buffalo population has two traits modeled here: hair length and hair color. B is dominant for brown hair, and b is recessive for black hair. S is dominant for long hair, and s is recessive for short hair. In the previous paragraph, I said that the genotype is BbSs. Thus the phenotype would be long black hair because in a heterozygous organism, the dominant trait takes over. I hope I explained well. :)
