can someone actually HELP? with step-by-step Graph y = 5x and y = log5x on a sheet of paper using the same set of axes. Use the graph to describe the domain and range of each function. Then identify the y-intercept of each function and any asymptotes of each function. (4 points)

please help

doesn't help

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

If I had the drawing tool, but without it I can't.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

the drawing tool isn't working.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there a way to fix it?

can you explain how you got there?

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

So for y = 5x, we just find some important points and graph, The y-intercept is zero, so it goes through the origin. The slope is 5, so for every 1 on the x-axis, you go up 5 on the y-axis. For y=log 5x, when x=1, y=0, this happens when x = 1/5 = 0.2. Between 0 and 1, y < 0 and gets larger and larger in the negative as x gets closer to zero. This is the horizontal asymptote. Both functions grow without bounds as x goes to positive infinity.
