Solve the inequality and graph its solution: -1/2h<=7
@nubeer @larryboxaplenty @tyteen4a03 @wolfe8
Solve for h by dividing by both sides, not to forget about the dividing my negative rule with inequalities.
x<=-6?
-0.5h <= 7 divide by -0.5 on both sides. h >= -14. If you divide by a negative, you switch the signs.
You should be able to graph it like a normal inequality now.
Though, I'm guessing "h" is an "x" and not a y
so the line goes to the right?
like this? http://media.education2020.com/evresources/2003-06-02-00-00_files/i0100006.jpg or like this? http://media.education2020.com/evresources/2003-06-02-00-00_files/i0100008.jpg
@larryboxaplenty
When its " equal to" the dot is shaded in, so its the first one ≥ and ≤ are shaded
oops wrong ones i meant this http://media.education2020.com/evresources/2003-06-02-00-00_files/i0140004.jpg or this http://media.education2020.com/evresources/2003-06-02-00-00_files/i0140008.jpg
Signs like, < and > have an open dot.
It's the first one, h ≥ -14
