Lim x-> 0 , 6x^2 (cot x)(csc2x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have it to 6x^2 (cos x/sin x)(1/sin2x)

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

then using the formula sin2A=2sinAcosA to simplify further...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then what?

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

show me what u get so far plz? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lim x -> 0 , 6x^2(cos x/sin x)(1/2sin x cos x)

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

simplify by canceling n regrouping terms above n below the / sign plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cos x = 1 not sure what do with the rest

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

nope, ok i will write it out...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry this has really been frustrating me

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

6x^2*(cosx/sinx)*(1/2sinxcox) so far so good?

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

just be patience - u will work it out! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

Welcome :) Notice how u can cancel the cosx term and group the sinx term together in the eqn?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so does it become 1/3sin x

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

nope....u missed some terms there. remember sinx*sinx=(sinx)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 sin x^2

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

It should be 2* x^2/(sinx)^2....plz check n make sure u get the same result here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where did the 2x^2 come from on top

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

U said it urself "I have it to 6x^2 (cos x/sin x)(1/sin2x)" scroll up if u dont believe me lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do lol just still confused

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

take a moment n read everything once more....next step will be a leap :O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so right now I have 6x^2(1/sin x)(1/2sin x)

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

yup yup very good so 6/2=3 and then re-group so that u got the following: 3*(x/sinx)*(x/sinx) <- plz make sure u understand how i get here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What happened to the x^2

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

it becomes the (x/...) and (x/...)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thought so. Thanks for being patient with me a putting up with me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the answer is 3

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

Bingo, good job! :)

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

U are welcome
