What is the exact area of a circle with a diameter of 44 ft? answers on bottom

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Do it like you were just shown in the previous problem you posted.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok but @Mertsj do I divide by 2 with the answers ?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If the diameter is 44 then the radius is 22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I divided 88/2 and gave me 44 my answers are A.1936 B.484 C.88 D.44

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Where did you get 88?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c. 88/2 gave me 44

OpenStudy (mertsj):

There is no 88 in the problem. Where did the 88 come from?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my answer choices I divided all of my answer choices

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I think you should solve the problem and then choose the correct answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 44^2 will give me 1936 square feet ?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

To find the area of a circle here is what you do: 1. Find the radius 2. Square the radius 3. Multiply the answer to Step 2 by pi If you want the exact answer, leave it radius^2 pi If you want the approximate answer, multiply radius^2 by 3.14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok but my answer is correct yes or no

OpenStudy (mertsj):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but I need for exact @Mertsj

OpenStudy (mertsj):

1. Find the radius Did you do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya its 22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 484 correct

OpenStudy (mertsj):

2. Square the radius and yes the answer is 484

OpenStudy (mertsj):

3. Multiply the answer to Step 2 by pi

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Did you do step 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx now I get it I divided 44/2 and then it h=gave me 22 then I did 22^2 gave me 484

OpenStudy (mertsj):

DID YOU DO STEP 3???????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't yell and no how show me plz

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I can't get you to answer my questions unless I yell.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Do you want an exact answer or an approximate answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the exact answer what was the question about then....

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If you want the exact answer, leave it radius^2 pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

next?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

You are done. Didn't the problem want you to find the exact area of the circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 484 square feet

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I am having a very hard time trying to figure out what you don't understand about the formula for the area of a circle. Do you know that formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

NO! THIS IS Y I NEED HELP THIS CHIT IS DUE IN A FEW MINS
