Fill in the blank http://img203.imageshack.us/img203/8461/injm.png
I think it's 51.5 90% positive!!!
soh cah toa tan 42 deg = x/35 solve for x by multiplying 35 to both sides
Same as the question i answered earlier, square = 90 degrees, the other angle is 42 degrees, if all the angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees (which they do) you would get an equation that looks like this... 180-90-42=48 degrees Angle Z = 48 degrees
ok ty 48 :D
cool
wait your looking for SIDE X
yes
it didn't ask to solve for Z it is asking for side x
side x is the opposite side in this image and you use the tangent = opposite/adjacent
then let use the equivalent of angle z which is 48 tan z = 35/x tan 48 = 35/x cross multiply xtan28 = 35 divide tan 48 both side x=35/tan48 x=31.51
that is a long shot of solving it
hahaha!!
you don't even need the value of z to solve for x you already have 42 degrees and a side of 35 units, so you can use 42 degrees as your angle of focus and use 35 since it is adjacent to the angle of focus thus implementing the TOA, the opposite is the "opposite side," which is whatever across the angle of focus - the x in this case. following this logic: tangent = opposite/ adjacent tangent 42 degrees = x / 35 solve for x multiply both sides by 35 tangent 42 degrees * 35 = x
just the same answer.. hahah!! but @ShantelT1 did u get what we mean?
it should be the same answer, but it is the straight-forward way of answering the problem what you did is also correct, but you went to do extra steps that would pose inefficient when you have to solve under a limited time like during exam
okay lang basta tama
hahahha!! pwede pala tagalog dito eh.. :D
okay so 31.51?
I think you are just waiting for the answer bad girl... bad bad girl
good girl, @ShantelT1 very good girl, your smarter than the rest of us :D
^hahah!! mean @ShantelT1 understand the concept :)
I'ts hard, I don't get it...
it becomes hard when you don't devote time to read and practice
