I know H = 2.1 and C = 2.5 and Fluorine is 4.1...... Find the difference between each. I think if the difference is <1.4, it is ionic bond, and anything > is something else. I forgot. In terms of boiling point, think of the fluorine atoms bonded to the carbon and how they interact. Remember fluorine is more electronegative than hydrogen, so how might that affect the molecular attraction and other physical properties.

Ok, I think I remember 0.0 - 0.2 is nonpolar covalent, obvi 0.3-1.5 is polar covalent 1.5 > is ionic. you can figure it out from here now.
