Although there are formulas relating each trigonometric function to every other ; I find the following method to be the easiest of all - |dw:1390467712188:dw|
*I was trying to write the angle as theta :)
I dont get it
Can you see the diagram ? (I am asking coz many people are facing LaTeX problem)
I don't :\
To fix LaTeX problem (IDK why most people write it that way :P ) visit - http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/52de57e0e4b003c643a10b24
Okay what now?
Do you know how to define a trigonometric function in terms of the sides of a right triangle ??
i don't :/
Let x be an angle of a right angled triangle (other than 90) Definition Hypotenuse (H) - longest side Base (B) - side between and x and right angle Perpendicular (P) - the third side Trigonometric functions - sin x = P / H cos x = B / H tan x = P / B csc x = 1/ (sin x) sec x = 1/(cos x) cot x = 1/(tan x)
i always draw my triangle and make sin csc bottom then other side is sec and cos and hypothesis is tan and cot ... keeping these together in mind comes in handy also knowing and memorizing the 3 different triangles(30, 60, and 90 degree)helps a lot in working with trig problems
