ration 18 to 27 is 2/3 put 18 over 27 and then divide it by 9 and u get 2/3

OpenStudy (amorfide):

Let's say this is saying you have 18 bananas for every 27 apples for every 18 you get 27 so if you were to divide these both by a number that goes into these numbers such as 3 you would get 18/3 : 27/3 this gives us 6:9 repeat last step, which gives 2:3
