I'd suggest that you first graph the function f(x)=3x-5. I see that this is a straight line with slope 3 and y-intercept equal to -5. Instead of a solid line, graph a dashed line instead.. Next, choose any test point in the (x,y) plane (e. g., (0,0) ), and substitute its x- and y-coordinates into the given inequality. If the inequality is now TRUE, then shade the area on that side of your dashed line. If the inequality is now FALSE, then shaee the area on the OTHER side of your dashed line. Or, just look at the four possible graphs given and choose the likeliest one as your response.
