If f(x) = x ^2 + 1 and g(x) = 3x + 1, find f(2) + g(3)

OpenStudy (mathmale):

All you need to do is to evaluate f(2) and g(3) separately. Then add these two results together to obtain the final answer. Please ask questions if this is not sufficiently clear for you.
