4. simplify the complex fraction n-4 _____ n^2-2n-15 ______ n+1 ____ n+3 A. n-4/(n-3)(n+1) B. n-4/(n-5)(n+4) C. n-4/(n-5)(n+1) D. (n-4)(n+3)/(n-5)(n+1)

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

I think its C,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay lol how did you get that ?

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Because you would factor the n^2 - 2n - 15 I used 3, so n^2 - 2n - 15 = (n+3)(n-5) So now you have: n-4/(n+3)(n-5)(n+1)(n+3) Combine their exponent (add them), (n+3)^-1-1 (n-4)/(n-5)(n+1) (n-4)(n+3)^-2 /(n-5)(n+1) n-4/(n-5)(n+1)

oh okay lol thank you :)
