The length of a rectangle exceeds the width by 2cm. If the diagonal is 10 cm long, find the width of the rectangle.

Let length be l and width be w. l=w+2 Diagonal length is 10. No you can consider one of the right triangle in the rectangle. Then use pythagorean theorem.
