OpenStudy (xmoses1):

I swear no one ever wants to help me lol

OpenStudy (marigirl):

i got -10x^2+6xy+3y^2

OpenStudy (marigirl):

(-4)+(-7)+(1)=-10

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

oh that is my mistake lol

OpenStudy (marigirl):

when ur adding like terms, the powers dont change

OpenStudy (marigirl):

yes i just noticed your powers... i believe you should just be adding like terms and not changing the powers, but changing the coefficients

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

So dont add the powers, just leave them them same?

OpenStudy (marigirl):

yes,

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

ok that is what i really needed help with :)

OpenStudy (marigirl):

only if u multiply or divide the powers will change accordingly to their respective rules.

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Ok thank you so much i owe you :)

OpenStudy (marigirl):
