Need immediate help please!! :) Easy Geometry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y and z are complemtary right? that is all i know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i cant open the link

OpenStudy (anonymous):

easy for some, not for me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me try again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u open it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i cant help you because i cant open up the link

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok nightmare, i will try to save as a different file type. i cant do a screenshot from laptop. dont know how. tried everything

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

windows office using windows 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

word

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

y and z are within the 90 degree angle so since y = 3b - 1 and z = 2b + 6 3b - 1 + 2b + 6 = 90 now solve for b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i keep trying to save it as a word doc, it wont let me, even though that is how i am seeing it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

jiggly, could u open it then??

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

@mamasherman chill, it works, but it's kinda annoying to download the file... try screenshotting and saving it as a picture next time. y and z are within the 90 degree angle so since y = 3b - 1 and z = 2b + 6 3b - 1 + 2b + 6 = 90 now solve for b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have been trying to. no matter when combo i try, cannot get screenshot... its a new laptop

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u jiggly, that is what i thought

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

http://www.ehow.com/how_4682072_use-print-screen-laptop.html

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b = 17, jiggly, u are a lifesaver :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have tried what ehow says btw. nothing works

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

then plug b = 17 into y = 3b - 1 then z = 2b + 6 and solve for each separately

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Jigglypuff's solution is correct; b=17. I could not open the attachment directly, but could download it to my computer and then open it with Word.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

jigglypuff is awesome by the way

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

lol thanks ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dont know what i would do without u all, thank u :)

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

@mamasherman plug b = 17 into y = 3b - 1 then z = 2b + 6 and solve for each separately

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

so like y = 3(17) - 1 = z = 2(17) + 6 =

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. W 40° 2. X 140° 3. Y 130° 4. Z 50°

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, for angle w, do i find what is added to 40 to get a total of 180? so #1 would be 140?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

I was guessing that you needed to match them. matching does work that way. so y = 3(17) - 1 = z = 2(17) + 6 =

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 50, right

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

yep :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so # 3 is 50

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

that's what I got ;)

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

then z = 2(17) + 6 =

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y looks like a right angle which would be 90, so #4 would be 40?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

yes :) then y is greater than z right? so because of linear angles x is greater than w i gtg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow, i think i may actually understand a little lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!!
