Can someone please help? Explain the importance of science being based on the Scientific Method as apposed to the un-researched information found in some books or ideas. ie Some think the world is flat, why is it important to use science to prove or disprove this idea, or others like it rather than just accept it because someone wrote it down. In the past, people believed that flies spontaneously came from rotten meat. Most people blindly believed this until science proved it false through experimentation. Explain what the Scientific Method is, its steps, and why does this make it a good model
