Please help!! Solve the equation and give the solution with the lowest value. (x+3) (x-2)

OpenStudy (bibby):

Set that equal to 0. solve for x.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Yes. You'll get x+3=0. Find x. You'll also get x-2=0. Find x. Then decide which of these two x values is the smaller.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so it'd be x=-3 in the end? @mathmale @bibby

OpenStudy (bibby):

x = -3, 2 but yeah you're picking the smaller one
