Please help I give medal and fanned! 1. Solve for x. 2. Which segment in the diagram below is altitude? Which segment is a median? 3. What is the measure of the sum of all angles in a regular dodecagon? What is the measure of one of its interior angles and one of its exterior angles?

OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

For Number 1 and 2

OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

@aurorablue01 and @nikato please help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually I think there might not be enough info in diagram 1 to solve for x. For the second one, NV is an altitude and BC is a median.

OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

oh ok, I can ask my teacher about number 1. Would you mind helping me with some more? I am so sorry I have to have it done by tonight and I am not any good at math!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure.

OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

1. What is the measure of the sum of all angles in a regular dodecagon? What is the measure of one of its interior angles and one of its exterior angles? 2. Find the coordinates of point A for the parallelogram shown. 3. Given ∆ABC with A(0,2), B(-2, -4), and C(4,4). a. Write the equation for the line containing altitude AZ in standard form. b. Write the equation of the line containing midsegment XZ in standard form, where X is the midpoint of AB and Z is the midpoint of BC. 4. Use the Law of Syllogism to draw a conclusion from the two given statements. If I study, then I will do well on the final exam. If I do well on the final exam, then I will pass the class. 5. A triangle has angles with measures in the ratio 4 : 3 : 5. Find the measure of each angle.

OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

This is for number 2

OpenStudy (nikato):

For the original #1 2(2x+4)=44

OpenStudy (nikato):

Becuz of this http://www.regentsprep.org/Regents/math/geometry/GP10/MidLineL.htm

OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

So X = 10?

OpenStudy (nikato):

*9

OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

how is it 9? I keep getting 10

OpenStudy (nikato):

Divide by sides by 2. 2x+4=22 -4. -4 ------------ 2x=18 ---- ------ 2. 2 X=9

OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

oh ok, sorry about that... thank u s much! can u help me on the other ones?

OpenStudy (nikato):

Well, I'll just do 5. I feel like 2-4 involves a lot of work

OpenStudy (nikato):

Solve 4x+3x+5x=180 Once u solve for x, multiply each number in the ratio by x

OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

h ok thank you!
