Please help
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Is this supposed to be an equation?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yeah it's an inequality and i then i have to graph the solution set
OpenStudy (mertsj):
Then why doesn't it have > or < ???
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Oh then i think you used the wrong symbol. You should use the < or > symbols or they signify a power.

idk
OpenStudy (anonymous):
that's how it's written in the book
OpenStudy (mertsj):
You had better look again.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yeah, that seems incorrect
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i just did

look
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Then I guess if you use it as the center, like an equals, then you could technically solve the equation. But you wouldn't know what your solution set is.
OpenStudy (mertsj):
Well then, if what you have written is correct it is:
2r-729-6=
2r-735
OpenStudy (anonymous):
-9^3 is 243
OpenStudy (anonymous):
That is... strange. Possibly a typo?

OpenStudy (mertsj):
9^3=9x9x9=81x9=729
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i solved it like this
2r-9^3-6
2r-729-6
2r-735
then got stuck
OpenStudy (mertsj):
There is a part that is missing.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
That's because the probem is definitely not an inequality. without a < or > it has no solution set.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i would make it 2r=735 and divide by 2?

You cannot change an expression to an equation.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
mking r 367.5
OpenStudy (anonymous):
why not, you do it to solve for zeros
OpenStudy (anonymous):
its all i can think of
OpenStudy (mertsj):
Just tell you teacher that part of the problem is missing.

That seems like the best course of action.
OpenStudy (mertsj):
The directions say to solve the inequality and it is not an inequality or an equation. It is an expression
