hey kids, where is the latex??
Not what he meant. He's talking about \(\LaTeX\). The coding. Not the gloves.
Yeah. I was trying to avoid bringing that up. I know what you meant.
ok ill delete that last comment then
ty for explaining to me what he meant
:*
lol yep
Hey, when did it stop working? Can someone tell me.
well, i know that i came back on OS after taking a 3 months long break, about a month ago ….i just came back 12 days ago, and it was working then. I don't know the exact date, but it must have happened less than 12 days ago :3
Stopped about 4 or 5 days ago by my estimation, but not for everyone. I had it on my work machine longer than my home. That tells me it was a cached file or cached URL that let it keep working. Once that was cycled, it was toast. Also, that means another day or two might be when it was hit.
A follow-up question :P Why do most people write it as LaTeX ??
And what does it really mean ??
since its a code it needs to be written like the code was original written or it would be something else or i guess it would be typed im not a genius when it comes to coding though so maybe someone that is will explain it more
@LastDayWork It's a markup language that uses the TeX typesetting. TeX stands for 3 greek letters: tau, epsilon and chi, which is the root of English words like technical and technique. You actually pronounce LaTeX as lah-tek. LaTeX was build by Leslie Lamport, so I guess the La in front of LaTeX reflects his name. People write it like LaTeX because of the logo. the a and the e are supposed to be uppercases too but the a is written as a superscript and the e is written as a subscript and that isn't possible in plain text. So that's why they use lowercases. Check the attachment to see how the actual LaTeX logo looks like.
@thomaster Thank You :)
lol i was all kinds of wrong :P
@Preetha I am having the same problem. The LaTeX is not working. For me, it hasn't been working since Wednesday, January 22, 2014. I am also having other problems, too. I help people in math and I usually make an equation using the "equation" button, but when I press the button, instead it just sends the response and I did not even write the equation. This issue, though, has been going on for a longer time, though.
IKR @Marki That is what I was trying to explain.
ok just wasnt sure if im still stupid XD
because he is smart didnt ya hear
and reason being look and you see he almost has 20000 medals next to my 69
I don't know if people already know this; but I am posting it anyway. A genius among us already found a temporary solution - http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/52de57e0e4b003c643a10b24
^^ To LaTeX problem :)
there are also people like me that had no clue haha
Is this still an issue? And hai, @satellite73. I love how these geniuses talk to us like kids.
