OpenStudy (mchilds15):

What did each Crusade accomplish, and why do you think they ultimately failed?

OpenStudy (beatboxingfetus):

The Crusades were merely religious beliefs, they ultimately failed because Salah al-Din al-Ayubbi had way more men in the first crusade and already had Jerusalem; as time went on people lost their faith bit by bit each crusade, their armies were rather tiny compared to those at the Holy City. They had little war strategy and very very little water sources. They didn't accomplish much in the crusades but destruction of the Holy City.
