Look at the net of the given polyhedron. The sum of the number of edges and vertices of the polyhedron is _____
F + V - E = 2 F - faces V - vertices E - Edges count them & put in the eq :)
well I think there is 5 face... 5 vertices.... and 8 edges
thats 5+5-8= 2
so the edges and vertices are 13 ?
arent there 8 vertices?
maybe
i thought it was a triangular prism?
i got 13 am i right?
i think yes :D
by counting from the foto im getting 16
okay but the photo is net.. we need the edges and vertices of the actual polyhedron once its built
awww sorry ok ok yea
alright so ill put 13. thanks!
see this if you still have confusion http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/polyhedron.html
from @annas link, this should be an octahedron because it has 8 faces: " Octahedron 4 triangles meet at each vertex 8 Faces 6 Vertices 12 Edges" so V=18, E=12
Maybe you're right @superdavesuper lemme take another look at this!
You're right 12 edges and 6 vertices, that makes the answer 18. Thanks for the fix I almost missed that ! @superdavesuper
welcome - credit should go to annas as he provided the link :)
