Monument Valley was formed due to atmosphere and weather exposure over the course of millions of years. Monument Valley is actually an ancient seabed and is made from sandstone. Monument Valley is part of the Colorado plateau. It is located near the four corners area near the Arizona and Utah state lines. Monument Valley is accessible via U.S. Highway 163. Monument Valley is a part of the Grand Circle that includes the Grand Canyon, Capitol Reef National Park, and many others.
