olfed down two slices of peanut butter on toast.
     “Hey, what’s your hurry?” his dad asked him, chuckling. “The ocean’s not going anywhere.”
     Dennis just wiped a stray crumb from his mouth, flashed a secretive grin at his father, and excused himself to put on his tattered beach shoes and his brother’s old brown sweatshirt. Then he waited on the porch, wondering what he’d find on the beach below.
     A few minutes later, Dennis and his dad took the short path down to the water. As soon as the slate-gray surf was in sight, the boy trotted ahead, scanning the beach for any foreign objects that might have washed up overnight. Sure enough, there beside an ancient driftwood log, something jutted out from the damp sand, glistening in the morning sun. Dennis let out a whoop and tore off like he was chasing a runaway kite. When he reached the object, he knelt down beside it and lifted it gingerly, cradling it like precious cargo in the lap of his sweatshirt. It was a sea-green, glass float with hardly a scratch on it—a beach-comber’s treasure that more than made up for all those mornings he’d come home empty-handed.

Well, to help you out here,  notice how happy he was to go to the beach.  Which one of those choices has a word similar to happy?
