how did the European desire for sugarcane lead to the largest forced migration in the history of the world?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think that because the Europeans wanted sugarcane but didn't want to make or grow it themselves and they didn't want to pay someone to do it so they went over to Africa and forced the people over to where they lived and sold them as slaves so that they do the work for them and that's how the largest forced migration was lead by the Europeans desires
