Water obtained from natural resources does not show neutral pH. What is the reason behind this?

Welcome to OpenStudy. I believe it is because of the minerals in the water from the ground.

Aside from what has been mentioned, some of the carbon dioxide dissolved in water reacts and forms carbonic acid, which ionizes into bicarbonate and hydronium ions: CO2 + H2O <-> H2CO3 <-> H^+ + HCO3^- As result, it lowers the pH.
