Am i correct?? Find the number of solutions for the given equation for 0° ≤ θ ≤ 360°. sec^2θ = 2 0 1 2 << 3 4

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

hmmm nope...2 is not the right answer....

OpenStudy (ttop0816):

then would it be 4??

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

sec^2(theata)=2 so 1/cos^2(theata)=2 cos^2(theata)=1/2 cos(theat)=+-SQRT(1/2) so how many solutions should there be? :)

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

bingo!
