I need help simplifying an equation? I have -(sqrt2)/2(x) + -1/(sqrt2)(y) - 18 = 0 I'm writing an equation in normal form, but I'm not sure how to simplify this. Can anyone help?

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

u can start by multiply everything by sqrt2 and note that sqrt2*sqrt2=2....what would u get?

OpenStudy (tester97):

please dont expect help and not try to get it when someone guides you to the answer.

@superdavesuper @tester97 I apologize for missing these replies. The notification never showed up that someone had replied after I had stepped away from my computer. I did receive help from a friend though, and I have figured out the answer to the equation. Thank you both for your time, though!

Good that you got help :)
