Solve using Linear Combination
a + c = 9
8a + 4.5c = 58

Should we decide to eliminate variable "a" first, we'd multiply the entire 1st equation by -8 and combine this modified 1st equation to the 2nd equation (as-is).

Anyone care to try this?
