Am i right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@agent0smith

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

a^x - if a is less than 1, it's a decreasing function eg is a =0.53, then it's decreasing, and at 47% per year (1-0.53 = 0.47, convert to percentage)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did, I mean is it right?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

"anything above ******1****** is exponential growth" NOT 0.99, 0.999 is greater than 0.99 but is still decay. Your percentage rate is not 63%. See above post.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My bad, 0.63/100 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No... yes.. maybe?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Read the above example again.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't get it ;(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OHH, 1-0.63 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

37%?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

eg is 0.53^x, it's decreasing at 47% per year (1-0.53 = 0.47, convert to percentage) <<<<look at the numbers involved

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^^ is it right? i changed it

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

That's what the medal tells you :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

;) staph it

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Assuming numbers for B are correct, too tired to check that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeaa thats the only reason i got on to check teheh, to see if its possible to have a -24.51%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

You did part b... not right. You're finding percentage decrease. It decreased 2451. Divide that by what it started at, 4300, then multiply by 100%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so -57

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

It's asking for greatest % change isn't it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not following, what am I suppose to be looking for?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Percent change that you found above for both. Which is bigger.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

product a ofc, its positive

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

They're both decreasing. Which decreases more.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

It doesn't decrease at -57% per year. It decreases at 57% per year.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so that was the only mistake? can i finally submit this D:

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

yes, since decreasing at negative 57% means increasing at 57% :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So basically take the negative sign out, Product B decreases at a 57% every year whereas product A decreases at a 37% rate. Product A recorded the highest price every year. ?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

"Product A recorded the highest price every year." i don't see where it asked for that...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i should remove it? " Which product recorded a greater percentage change in price over the previous year" what should i answer for this part?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Which product recorded a greater percentage change in price over the previous year - product B did

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh ok ty
