changes such as any break in the phosphodiester bond( the backbone of DNA) due to high energy radiation such as UV,gamma... biochemical changes such as change in structure of nitrogenous bases. moreover impaired hydrogen bonding between the nucleotides.. all the above changes due to environmental effect can effect you..i hope this will be helpful
