The density (mass divided by volume) of pure water is 1.00 g/cm3 that of whole blood is 1.05 g/cm3 and the density of seawater is 1.03 g/cm3.What is the mass of 3.00L of pure water? What is the mass of 3.00L of whole blood? What is the mass of 3.00L of seawater?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well mass is density times volume. So since you have the density and volume for each, can't you just multiply them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is the volume 3 L ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, you take the density 1g/cm3 and multiply the volume, 3L and multiply it. So it is three. :) x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it said it was wrong :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it multiple choice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, I'm sorry it's 3L so it should be 3000g.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah Thankyou!
