3x+7=15-6x+x ??

3x+7=15-6x+x so you want to have x by itself. so, first you can move which ever number over to either side. It does not matter. 3x=8-6x+x (i subtracted 7 from both sides) 3x=8-5x (I subtracted -6x + x = -5x 8x=8 (i added 5x to both sides) x=1 (i divided 8 from both sides, which = 1)
