A salamander is a keystone species in a forest ecosystem with high biodiversity. This species migrates from woodland areas to a local stream to reproduce. If a road is built that cuts off the woodland areas from the stream, what effect will this have on the forest ecosystem? 1. no effect because biodiversity is high 2. no effect as long as the forest is undergoing succession. 3. a negative effect because the salamander's impact on other species is so large. 4. a positive effect because the road will cause the salamander to remain closer to the stream. **Is it 1?

biodiversity is the variety of a certain species, I don't see how this could effect that, succession is an ecosystems ability to evolve, this could help by creating different ways for the salamanders to reproduce, but I'm not 100% on that, either 1 or 2.
