need help with BODMAS A+B * (C-D) / E plz help me in putting the bracket in the equation :'(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

answer is ( A + ( ( B * ( (C-D) ) / E ) )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i m getting :'( ( A + ( B * ( (C-D) / E ) ))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the divide by E part localised to C-D or is it for the whole equation??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

arent both your answers the same o.O ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whole equation

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

A+B * (C-D) / E [ A + [ [B*(C-D)] / E ] ]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:-? nah :'(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did u get it :O

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

A+B * (C-D) / E As per BODMAS, and left->right precedence : first we must do : B*(C-D)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

second we must divide it by E

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

lastly add the result to A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh :O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that left to right part i didn't know

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

haa, 'BODMAS + left->right precedence' thats the complete rule for operations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tahnx :D now i can solve the problem :) infix to postfix conversion :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what if it is A+B / (C-D) * E

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

first we do : C-D

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

next we do : B/(C-D)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

next : [B/(C-D) ] * E

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

lastly add it wid A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh :O and in A * B +(C - D/F)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

u r getting all ur homework done by me ha :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's not homework :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's c++ :P

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

A * B +(C - D/F) first comes Brackets

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

(C-D/F) however inside it, we must do D/F first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

having exam tommorrow nah i always made mistake in this part due to whcih i get the answer wrong and thus lot of time is wasted :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now got it completely :D thanx :) i know i ask silly question :P but 1 marks matters a lot :P

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

A * B +(C - D/F) first : D/F second : (C- D/F) third : A*B last (A*B) + (C-D/F)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

it does matter latter lol ! im glad u asked :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^_^ cya going to study stack and queue ;)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

have fun, relate them wid 'column of plates' analogy... im sure u knw it already ?

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

lol ! @kittycat01 if u wanna i have simple pp to teach stack + gueue so easy steps :o

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

attach it here, if its not ur university confidential :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i know what stach and queue i learn it from youtube ^_^ but yeah if u can help me with web pages o.O

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

no its ok i can attach them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i hate that html ,url domaina name part :P in the communication chapter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so can u send me a good link where i can get point point thing :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

point to point*

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

im no good, let me tag @e.mccormick he is good wid web/url domain names/P2P stuff

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

ohk then i wont attach them :D have fun with studing it good luck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

TmT it's the only thing in c++ whihc i could not study

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no interest in web related things security part is awesome ganeshie thanx :)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

np :) good luck wid the exams !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well :O problem can also be solved without using bodmas or pedmas :OOOOOOO
