Verbs are action words that describe an action, state, or occurrence. Verbs also help to form part of the predicate. Verb examples: Run,walk,swim,fly,etc.

verbs are not all action verbs...there are also linking verbs

He just stated verbs though, I know there are different types of verbs. Auxiliary verbs, Transitive verbs, Dynamic verbs, Adverbs, etc.
