I am supposed to plan an investigation/experiment on one aspect of the fall of a ball over plasticine. How can I do that using the free fall equations?

OpenStudy (emmigrace222):

ok let me check this out. any more info before i start?.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I can tell you what I was thinking but I'm really lost. I was thinking I could do something to do with air resistance changing the ball or something but I don't really know how I could do that. I was also thinking I could change the height I drop the ball from but I don't know what conclusions I would come to or how I would analyse the results. Here are the formulas we are allowed to use: http://www.physicsclassroom.com/Class/1DKin/U1L6a1.gif We don't need to use them all but at least one of them. I'm also thinking that force=mass x acceleration could be useful? I don't know! I have no idea. Please help :(

I'm not that great at Physics :/

OpenStudy (emmigrace222):

oh snap!? try google?. or yahoo answers /.\ cause im sorry but i dont know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh no:( thank you for trying to help though

OpenStudy (emmigrace222):

WAIIIIITTT Is this for a test, exam, or quiz?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's for a lab report due tomorrow, we need to design the experiment and write it all out :/ and it's like 20 % of our final mark D:

OpenStudy (emmigrace222):

ohhhh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh no :( that one moderator left, I'm freaking out

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

Which grade do you study in ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@LastDayWork I'm in 10th grade. 2 more years to go!

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

I think the most easiest experiment to perform would be - to show the independence of horizontal and vertical motion of a projectile..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whoa u guys r high ...... I m in 8 th n u in10 ok ..........can u guys give me medal s.. ..I could answer it but my chapter of kinematics is less higher than u please give medal..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I gave u elishi please give me...

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

@elisichi ??
