Graph the two equations to solve the system. What is the solution? x + y = -8 and x - y = 8

It is just asking for the points!

Here r the options (-12, 4) (-4, -4) no solution (0, -8)

can u help @whpalmer4

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

It is easy to graph this and find the point of intersection as directed. Take first equation, x + y =-8 Set x=0 and solve for value of y. Put a dot at (0,y). Set y=0 and solve for the value of x. Put a dot at (x,0). Draw a straight line through those two points. Take the second equation and repeat the procedure. Notice where the two lines intersect. That point is your solution.
