A population has only 2 alleles, F for individuals with freckles and f for individuals without. The allele frequency of F is 58%. What are the genotype frequencies of the population assuming all 5 of the hardy winebergy conditions are met. I got P=33% Pq=49% and q=18% did I do it right?

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

@wolfe8

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Wait what are P, Pq, and q?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

P is the homozygous dominant. pq is the heterozygous and q is the homozygous recessive. Together they create the hardy Weinberg equation. P^2 +2pq+q^2

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

I'm so sorry I never did this before. I found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allele_frequency But I'm guessing you did it right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks. :)

OpenStudy (mazefordays090):

You did it correctly
