Also, there are secret groups. Many groups have been deleted throughout time, but that only deletes the link to them. If you type in the group URL manually, you can still visit it.

I remember awhile back, someone posted a link to a group. It was back when Aravind was an Ambassador. They said, "how is Aravind an Ambassador AND a moderator?" Then I explained that he was a group moderator.

That was the IIT study group, the last remaining group made by a user. They deleted every user made group except that one. and aravind was the one who made that group so he remained the group mod

I don't think it's a bad idea. A group for French, Chinese, German, Spanish, and Latin would be nice. These are the languages most learned.

You could create groups late 2012. Members could, and the creator would be a group moderator. The person with the highest smartscore in that group would be the group moderator, too.

It's interesting, but they proved hard to police. Late 2012 they were removed.

Inquus corp is the holding company. Still exists. OpenStudy is the product. Glad to see so many company historians here.
Also - stopped the ability for peeps to make their own groups because so many random groups sprang up. Like a gazzillion math groups.
