I have a essay due on Julius Caesar, Act III and my prompt is Was Brutus a betrayer or a patriot? Can someone help me I need ideas on what to write I would greatly appreciate it.

Here Brutus explains that while they must kill Caesar to save Rome from dictatorship, they must not kill Marc Antony as well, or they will appear to be cold blooded killers in the eyes of the people rather than defenders of the country.

Reasons Brutus may be a patriot:
- he was looking to the best interest of rome
- he thought J.C. would become a dictator and ultimately lead to the fall of Rome
- he believed J.C. was too ambitious for his own good
Reasons Brutus is a betrayer
- J.C. was his best friend
- He collaborated with people whose interest was not what best for rome
