How do mutations affect evolution? Ill give a medal!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess you dont give straight answers huh

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

It's against the CoC to give straight answers without an explanation. I prefer the people I help to read up on information and decide on their own what it could be. That way users have to think and learn. :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lmao someone is an over achiever

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Moderators are here what did i do to receive such a visit?

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

I'm not an over achiever when I prefer students to learn more than just getting straight up answers. Would you really want everything just given to you? Never knowing how to do such things later on in life. Learning is good. Everyone needs to do it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ahh i didnt mean to offend you i was kidding im in 10th grade with a 4.1 Cumalative GPA so i know what im doing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont need your help if you are going to be so rude!!

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

If you know what you're doing then why come on here asking for help? "i guess you dont give straight answers huh"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Fine than i will i was just trying to raise my smart score

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

I'm not being rude by providing information and explaining why I do so, @e.mccormick or @thomaster you can take it from here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does that mean? am i in some sort of trouble?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Not at this point. Why not everyone take a breath and step back a moment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im good

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Just a little FYI, comments that are a little sarcastic may not translate well. Sometimes what is said with 100% fun in mind are things the other person sees as 100% attacking, belittling, and so on. Because of the emotionless nature of Internet communications, it is impossible to see your smile, hear your laugh, or know your Intent. More neutral language helps to prevent these small mistakes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry if i offended you @beccaboo333 I didnt mean it. Promise :D

thomaster (thomaster):

Let's say a random mutations gives you the power to fly. You could pass this mutated gene to your children. Soon, there will be much more people flying around. These people (or population) will have great benefit from this power and have more chance at survival (maybe not in this time (since the normal folks have no problem to survive either) but when this was in the mesozoic era, when dinosaurs roamed the earth, the flying people would laugh when a dinosaur picks you for diner, you'd just fly away. And that is how a simple mutation can change evolution, because more and more flying people will spawn, and the dinosaurs would have less to eat (and extinct).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thx thomaster

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well i gtg so bye and sorry if i bothered you @thomaster and @e.mccormick
