28w - 12w=16w, not -16w yeah, that's where I make most of my mistakes as well.

wherever possible, I try to arrange so I'm adding polynomials rather than subtracting them so I don't get bitten by things like -(x^2 - bx) turning into -x^2 + bx

at first I couldn't figure out why you were asking for help and then just cranking out the work, not the usual thing I see here. usually it's <post problem> followed by crickets or idk :-)
