Math 144 Multiplication involving trinomials in two variables Multiply (3v+7w-3)(v+4w+4)
3v(v+4w+4) 7w(v+4w+4) -3(v+4w+4)
3v^2+12vw+12v 7wv+28w^2+28w -3v-12w-12
3v^2+28w^2+19wv+9v-16w-12
You got it. multiply each piece by every other piece, collect like terms.
Is that a verification of my work :)?
yep. answer is correct.
ok ill try entering it again
is the computer saying you've made a wrong answer?
yes its not counting that answer
28w^2 + 3v^2 + 19 v w + 16w +9v - 12 ah, wrong sign on the 16w term...
yesoops
its always the negative signage
28w - 12w=16w, not -16w yeah, that's where I make most of my mistakes as well.
no stress, they even said to make it a point to check negative signs deep
derp
wherever possible, I try to arrange so I'm adding polynomials rather than subtracting them so I don't get bitten by things like -(x^2 - bx) turning into -x^2 + bx
just ALEKS homework is all hahehah
anyhow, good to know where your likely errors come from!
right for sure, its the beginning of the semester here :)
thanks
at first I couldn't figure out why you were asking for help and then just cranking out the work, not the usual thing I see here. usually it's <post problem> followed by crickets or idk :-)
