Some students use the expression SOHCAHTOA as a memory aid for the definitions of the trigonometric functions. What does this expression stand for?

OpenStudy (kainui):

Sin(angle) = Opposite / Hypotenuse Cos(angle) = Adjacent / Hypotenuse Tan(angle) = Opposite / Adjacent So if you have cos(60 degrees), that will equal the ratio of the leg touching (adjacent) to the angle divided by the hypotenuse.
