this is simply an exercise in density, which is the ratio of an object's mass to it's volume. How much mass does a substance have, and how much space does it take up? The information in the prelab is asking you to compare the density of gallium to water, which has a density of 1.0g/mL. You will have to convert units before you compare them, but you should have done things like that before now.
